National Beef Association welcomes new Chairman

At the fourteenth Annual General Meeting of the National Beef Association the current chairman, Hamish McBean stood down on rotation rules. He has been succeeded by David Thomlinson.
Mr Thomlinson has worked at Harrison and Hetherington for over 51 years. He started as an office clerk and has worked his way up. He now specialises in pedigree and commercial sales of both sheep and cattle. He also has a 200 acre farm in Cumbria where he breeds pedigree Limousin cattle.
Mr Thomlinson has loved the cattle industry all his life and he has supported the National Beef Association from its inception, his membership number is 9.

On taking office Mr Thomlinson thanked Hamish McBean for all his hard work for the National Beef Association. Looking to the year ahead Mr Thomlinson said that his aim was to ""lead the National Beef Association forward and maintain its position as the number one independent voice for the cattle industry""
