2011 Beef Stockman of the Future

The 2011 winner of the Farmers Guardian Beef Stockman of the Year, DAVID Thirwell, is completely focused on achieving the best results he can from the 200-cow Stabilser herd he manages for JSR Farms at Givendale Farm in Pocklington, York.

It is this focus on where he is now, where he wants to be in the future and what he needs to do to get there that impressed the judges and saw him take the winner’s trophy in the final stages of the Beef Stockman of the Future 2011 judging.
