Press Release - BCMS Notification - Don't Get Caught Out
6th November 2009
Region: National
Did you know that discrepancies found at your Cattle Identification Inspection can affect your SPS payment?
Over 60% of discrepancies found each year at Cattle Identification Inspections (CII) are due to the following reasons.
-
Movements are not reported to BCMS within three days.
-
Passports for dead animals are not returned to BCMS within seven days to report the death.
-
Farm records have missing or inaccurate information.
These reasons, along with other discrepancies found at inspection, mean many farmers have reductions applied to their payments.
