Regional Councils
Robert Venner is now the Chairman of the South West Committee.
The South West Committee is a very proactive body, meeting regularly through out the year.
Current Key focuses are:
- The constant battle against TB
- The progression of the West Country PGI project
- Fluke Resistance in Cattle
The Scottish Beef Association represents the NBA in Scotland.
The SBA Board meets regularly with Neil Shand CEO of the NBA, working closely on many issues affecting our Scottish Members and attending meetings with the devolved Government. Current Issues include the Beef Efficiency Scheme, Farm support post Brexit and Maintaining the Strength of the Scotch Beef Brand outside Europe.
Paul Ross Chairs the SBA Board while David Mitchell represents the SBA on the NBA Board.
The SBA hold a Biannual Scottish Beef Event in Spring, the next Event will take place:
